Hello fellow Columbus East Alumni. We had another successful Wall of Fame ceremony earlier this year as David Pence (Class of 75) and Doug Eckrote (Class of 82) were inducted. Congratulations to both!

We need your help to continue to identify and recognize future inductees. If you know of someone you think is deserving send us a note and we’ll get you a nomination form. Send to Mark Foster at mark.d.foster01@gmail.com. Thanks for your help!

Good afternoon everyone! First off, let us all shout Go O’s! They are competing in the football final four Friday night at Stafford Field at 7pm.

We have some good news for fellow alumni. The Columbus East Alumni Association has received its official 501c3 designation. Thank you Alumni Attorney Scott Andrews for donating his time to make it happen.

The organization was established to assist projects at the school which typically fall outside of official school budgets. We have received a variety of interesting requests. One student was nominated for a trip abroad for a culinary internship, but couldn’t afford to go. The East Boys Basketball Team is raising money renovating their locker room. One of the classrooms at the school was in desperate need of two new laptops. The PE program was looking for funding for a new program which required equipment which fell outside of their budget.

You get our point. We really need to secure more annual commitments to better serve our school and it’s students. The board of directors for the association have all committed to donate $100 to kick off this new effort. We are asking all alumni to consider the same. Its high time that us East Siders Step Up For Our Kids. To help, please mail checks to:

Please share this post with friends and family. We appreciate your support. Keep an eye on this page for future announcements.
